PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was killed in a crash on US-131 near Rockford Thursday morning, according to Michigan State Police.
It happened around 2 a.m. on southbound US-131 near 10 Mile Road at the Algoma/Plainfield Township line.
Authorities say a vehicle was going north on US-131 when the driver lost control of her vehicle, sending it into the median and causing it to roll several times. The driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, which came to rest in a southbound lane of the highway.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
