Lawsuit aims to collect plant fire cleanup bills

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A cleanup company is suing an Eaton Rapids plant, claiming it still owes more than $1.3 million following a May fire.

Illinois-based Heritage-Crystal Clean, Inc. says Magnesium Products of America has paid it some $2.6 million, but still owes $1,350,000. HCC is claiming a breach of contract and wants the court to force MPA to pay the outstanding balance, plus interest and costs.
