Investigators: 4 cash store robberies possibly linked

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies believe the man who robbed a cash store in Jenison is connected to three similar crimes in Holland, Kentwood and Roosevelt Park.

The most recent robbery happened around 5:56 p.m. Friday at the Cash Store, located at 7507 Cottonwood Drive. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect entered the store, flashed a handgun at cashiers, took cash and left the store.

As in previous crimes, he was wearing a blue University of Michigan hooded sweatshirt, a black mask, sunglasses and a dark stocking cap. He’s described as a white man who is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 and weighs 150 to 175 pounds.

Detectives Friday released surveillance video from the Dec. 4 crime, in hopes someone would recognize the man.
