Ludington mom dies after heroin overdose

LUDINGTON, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are trying to track down the source of heroin that led to the deadly overdose of a mother in Ludington.

Investigators Tuesday identified the overdose victim as 35-year-old Katie Lynn Fulton.

Ludington police say they were called to the 600 block of North James Street around 4:30 p.m. Friday for an unresponsive woman. Officers say they found out she had used heroin earlier in the day, and someone inside the house had already given her two shots of Naloxone in hopes of reviving her.
