Salmonella contamination permanently closes Kzoo Cracker Barrel

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Numerous state agencies have investigated an outbreak of Salmonella linked to the Kalamazoo County Cracker Barrel restaurant.

In a statement released to 24 Hour News 8 the The Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department says they are focused on protecting and improving health for all residents in Kalamazoo County and has worked closely with Cracker Barrel management and state partners throughout this investigation.

"Kalamazoo HCS staff will continue to work with Cracker Barrel as they focus their efforts on permanently closing the facility,” said Jim Rutherford, Health Officer of HCS.
