Warms temps, sunshine push back ice rink opening

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The city of Grand Rapids will not be opening the downtown ice rink Friday due to warm temperatures.

The city announced on Facebook Friday that its ice rink at Rosa Parks Circle would not open Friday due to “warm temperatures and lots of sunshine.”

The ice rink may open to the public Saturday, but the city says the forecasted temperatures and rain may make it difficult.
