WWI veterans honored at Kalamazoo ceremony

 

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Dozens of people attended the Kalamazoo County Veterans Day Ceremony Sunday, focused on remembering veterans, particularly those who served in World War I.

The 2018 program fell on the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I, a moment that was observed around the world.

Participants included an honor guard from the U.S. Marine Corps and Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office. The program included speakers, music by the Kalamazoo Area Pipers and poetry.
