Three injured in overnight stabbing in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people were injured after a stabbing early Saturday morning in downtown Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids police confirm it happened around 3 a.m. on Lyon Street NW between Monroe and Ottawa avenues, not far from the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Three people were hurt. All had minor injuries, but two of them were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police set up and perimeter and arrested a suspect, whose name has not yet been released.

It's unclear what triggered the attack.
