Emmy Award-Winning Actor John Ratzenberger visits WOOD Radio's Morning Team

(Grand Rapids)

John Ratzenberger ....best known for playing mail carrier Cliff Clavin on “Cheers", and star of many Pixar films stopped in to pay a visit to The West Michigan's Morning News team on WOOD Radio Friday November 9th.

Ratzenberger's in Grand Rapids this weekend at the annual Grand Rapids Comic Con at Devos Place. Ratzenberger will sign autographs and participate on panel discussions at this year's GR Comic Con Friday through Sunday November 9-11 at Devos Place.

Star Wars fans world wide know John for his role as ‘Major Derlin’ as seen in Star Wars: Episode V–The Empire Strikes Back and those same fans will recognize him from another huge franchise; Superman and Superman II! Horror fans remember him from House II: The Second Story and Motel Hell, films which are on the opposite side of the spectrum when it comes to what kids young and old know him for today!

John’s popularity has crossed over from the sitcom, Sci-Fi and fantasy worlds into another huge demographic, being recognized by kids of all ages for his various roles in the Disney/Pixar animated films!  John is the only actor to voice a character in every single Pixar film ever made. A running “gag” that he and director John Lasseter decided on together. John never tells fans which character he voices, he wants them to be surprised and figure it out for themselves when they see the film. John can currently be heard in the new film Coco and has reprised his character’s role for The Incredibles 2!
