PD: Gunman barricaded inside Grand Rapids home

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police have surrounded a house on the city's southeast side where a gunman is believed to be barricaded inside.

The Grand Rapids Police Department said officers are responding to “a barricaded gunman critical incident” near the intersection of 33rd Street and Marshall Avenue, east of Eastern Avenue.

Police said residents near the 3200 block of Marshall Avenue should stay indoors and drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
