GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — As the 49th annual Festival of Arts in Grand Rapids wrapped up Sunday, organizers' eyes were already on next year's event.
Held each year during the first full weekend of June, the festival features arts and crafts, live music and, of course, a wide assortment of food.
James Wynn, who said this is his 45th festival visit, said the event is all about "meeting people, eating, enjoying the music, and just having fun."
"The weather is perfect, and I love the music, and I love the food," festivalgoer Abe Devries said.
"Love festival. I'd recommend the chicken tamales, and the pork tamales, and the kimchi," his mother Connie Devries added.
Organizers said the festival brought about 300,000 people downtown over its three days.
