'Rally for Resignations' taking place at MSU

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — A rally is being held on Michigan State University's campus aimed to force interim president John Engler and the entire Board of Trustees to resign.

"(The board is) self-serving in this effort," organizer and Nassar survivor Morgan McCaul told 24 Hour News 8 Friday afternoon. "They are supposed to be a trustee because they care about the Spartan community, not because they want to pad their resume and it doesn't feel like they're listening or caring."

McCaul said she began organizing the rally — alongside Me Too MSU and Reclaim MSU — after witnessing Engler's conduct during a contentious board meeting last Friday.

During public comment, Kaylee Lorincz accused Engler of offering her a $250,000 settlement during a meeting where her attorney was not present.
