COVERT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a missing 8-year-old Van Buren County boy has been found safe.
Covert Township Police Chief Jay Allen told 24 Hour News 8 that Xavier Preston was found safe after police received a tip Monday morning.
Xavier was found about six to seven miles away from his home in the 72000 block of 24th Avenue in Covert Township, south of South Haven.
He was reported missing after he was last seen playing outside his home Sunday night.
Police told 24 Hour News 8 that the case remains under investigation.
