Researchers at Nottingham Trent University have created what they say is world's hottest pepper, called 'Dragon's Breath'.
With an estimated Scoville rating of 2.48 MILLION, this would be a record breaking heat level almost a million units higher than the current Guinness holder, Carolina Reaper pepper.
The red-orange chili is potentially life-threatening as experts warn the amount of heat could actually cause anaphylactic shock!
Researchers add that the oil from the pepper could be used to numb skin, which pretty much sums up the chance of us trying this new pepper: zero.
Would you?
