It's a big accomplishment to finish the Boston Marathon! But writing a congratulations to finishers who "survived" the Boston Marathon is a big MISTAKE.
And Adidas just made that mistake.
The subject line of the email said: " "Congrats, you survived the Boston Marathon!" and to take it a step further in the body of the email they used the slogan 'Boston Strong' which was specifically created following the terrorist bombings at the race 4 years ago.
Adidas issued an apology shortly after the Internet exploded with anger saying: "We are incredibly sorry. Clearly, there was no thought given to the insensitive email subject line."
