1 West Michigan is safer for your children today.
43-year-old Jeramy Lee Vanderkodde was sentenced this week to 11 to 20 years in prison for several offenses, including offering gift cards and a tshirt in exchange for sex to who he thought was a 14 year old.
It was a Kent County Sherriff’s detective.
Kent County Circuit Court Judge Christina Elmore called Vanderkodde’s online predatory behavior “very disturbing.’’
2 Governor Whitmer was in town yesterday handing out freebies.
She announced The Michigan Economic Jumpstart Plan which would allocate a portion of the state’s federal relief funding to support and invest in Michigan workers and small businesses.
The plan would also increase worker wages, provide grants to small businesses and expand access to affordable childcare.
3 While Whitmer was in town her MDHHS Director was testifying in Lansing.
She made the startling statement that they don’t know what the true number of nursing homes and long term care facility deaths is and they “don’t know what’s happening” in those facilities.
