(New York, NY) -- The New York City Medical Examiner says Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in his Manhattan jail cell.
The autopsy released Friday determines the official cause of death as suicide by hanging.
The determination comes six days after the billionaire financier was found dead in his cell.
Epstein was being held in the federal facility while he awaited trial on sex trafficking charges.
Guards found Epstein unconscious Saturday morning. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
