Griffins to begin practice Monday ahead of 30th anniversary season

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Grand Rapids Griffins will begin practice Monday at Griff's IceHouse at Belknap Park.

It begins at 10:30 a.m.

That will be in preparation for their 30th anniversary season, which begins October 10 at Texas. The home opener will be October 17 at 7 p.m. against the Manitoba Moose.

The team will also practice at Griff’s IceHouse on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 10:30 a.m. before traveling to Texas on Wednesday.

You will be able to listen to most of the games on WOOD Radio again this season.

The Red Wings held their preseason training camp in Traverse City and played a Red & White Game scrimmage at Van Andel Arena on Sept. 21.
