GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A West Michigan man is walking from Grand Haven to Miami to raise awareness for mental health.
Lee Johns is calling it The Long Walk Project and says every step is for someone who feels like they cannot take another.
Johns says he has family members that have struggled with mental health and it never gets addressed and he wants to change that.
On Sunday, he was on his 26th day of the project and had walked more than 280 miles already.
He is raising money on a GoFundMe for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
