KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Police in Kentwood are investigating whether alcohol or drugs may have played a role in a one-car crash this morning that claimed a man's life.
It happened around 2:40 at 44th Street and Kalamazoo Avenue. Police say the car went off the road and hit a metal support pole.
The driver was declared dead at the scene. His name and hometown have not been released yet.
Kentwood PD says in a news release: "The investigation is ongoing.
