Kent County officials are warning property owners about scams that are popping up in the area.
Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker and Treasurer Peter MacGregor are warning homeowners that scammers are contacting individuals facing tax delinquency or foreclosure and are offering false promises of help.
MacGregor says the county's treasurer's office will only contact homeowners if they are delinquent on their property taxes.
The scammers are contacting people through emails, personal mailings, text messages, phone calls and in-person visits.
