The annual Kent County poetry competition kicks off soon.
The Grand Rapids Public Library says the 57th annual Dyer-Ives Poetry Competition will begin accepting submissions on February 1.
Submissions will be allowed through February 28 from any Kent County resident five years or older or any student of a Kent County school.
Local poets will judge the first round of the competition.
Winners will receive a cash prize and have their work published.
