Muskegon Luge crossing fingers for a better winter season

The Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park is hoping for a better winter season this year.

Park executive director Jim Rudicil says running a business that is entirely dependent on the weather is tricky.

Rudicil says there is a lot of planning behind the scenes to open the 850-foot luge track, quarter-mile skating trail and two-acre outdoor ice rink.

Last year, steady winter weather didn't arrive until January so the park missed out on the peak holiday season.
