A 79-year-old man from Cedar Springs was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Greenville this morning.
It all happened around 7:30 a.m. on S. Lafayette Street near E. Cass Street. According to the Greenville Department of Public Safety, the man was hit by southbound minivan.
When emergency responders arrived, the man was semi-conscious before becoming unresponsive. Crews began first aid and managed to regain the man's pulse. He was then rushed to hospital in Greenville then transferred to another one in Grand Rapids.
The crash remains under investigation. The 45-year-old driver is said to be cooperating with police.
