Muskegon offering police chief role to candidate

The city of Muskegon is offering the role of police chief to Tim Kozal.

Interim City Manager LeighAnn Mikesell says Kozal has tentatively accepted the role, however he has some remaining questions.

The pair are expected to meet on Friday.

Kozal previously served as the Director of the Ludington Department of Public Safety.

The city narrowed down their search from 26 candidates to just two within the last several weeks.
