GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - On Tuesday, the defense team for former Grand Rapids Police Officer Christopher Schurr, along with Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker, met in court for a probable cause conference.
Neither side brought up any issues that needed to be addressed in court, but the preliminary hearing that was scheduled to take place on June 28 was moved to July 18.
Schurr was charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old Patrick Lyoya back in April.
