University of Michigan fires President Mark Schlissel

The University of Michigan Board of Regents have fired President Mark Schlissel for cause.

This was a result of an investigation by the board after an anonymous complaint they received on December 8th, 2021 stating that Schlissel was possibly involved in an inappropriate relationship with an university employee.

Former university president Mary Sue Coleman will take over as interim president.
