Huizenga, Courtade Advance to November Ballot for State Senate Seat

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - State Representative Mark Huizenga has won the Republican primary for an open state senate seat in Kent County.

He beat fellow representative Tommy Brann and former representative Kevin Green.

Former Kent County commissioner Keith Courtade will be Huizenga's Democratic opponent in November for the seat vacated after Peter McGregor became county treasurer.
