Grand Haven site to turn into year-round housing

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation's Strategic Fund Board is approving an effort to revamp a Grand Haven industrial site.

The $4.75 million community revitalization loan and Brownfield tax incentives for Peerless Flats was approved citing the housing project will help attract year-round residents and support for local businesses.

The area was once home to Stanco Metal Products but now be home to Peerless Flats.

Four buildings will be built that house 124 apartments.
