SWET: BC woman busted with fentanyl-laced heroin

MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Battle Creek woman is in custody after authorities say they found her with $12,500 worth of fentanyl-laced heroin.

A tip about a drug delivery led detectives from the Southwest Enforcement Team and Battle Creek police to the Battle Creek area Tuesday. Around 5 p.m., a Michigan State Police trooper called in to help pulled over the suspect’s vehicle on I-94 near the 110 mile marker in Marshall Township. With the help of his K-9 partner, the trooper discovered about 4 ounces of heroin laced with fentanyl, SWET says.
