ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (via WOOD TV) — A Zeeland woman is in critical condition after crashing her car into a tree Saturday afternoon.
The driver, whose name is not being released yet, was going southbound on 96th Avenue near Ransom Street when she lost control of the vehicle, crossing over two lanes of traffic before running into a large tree just before 12:30 p.m.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office say the woman was taken to a Grand Rapids area hospital in an ambulance and is seriously injured.
It is not known if drugs and alcohol were a factor in this incident.
Police are continuing their investigation into this accident.
