PORTLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — The Ionia County Health Department has issued a no body contact advisory for part of the Grand River after a sewage overflow in Portland.
The sewage overflow happened Friday at Portland’s wastewater treatment plant, which is located at 600 Morse Drive.
As a result, the no body contact advisory was issued as a precaution for anyone downstream of the treatment plant.
