Midwest Arctic Blast: Tracking the impact

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Nexstar) — Arctic air dipping into the Midwest is expected to set records.  

From Bismarck, North Dakota, to Grand Rapids, Michigan, people are bundling up as temperatures plummet well below zero.

The polar vortex has prompted thousands of schools to call off classes and entire cities have basically shut down for the day.
