Barryton-area man charged with brother's murder

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Barryton-area man has been charged with killing his brother over the weekend.

Justin Michael Walsh, 33, was arraigned Monday on a count of murder as a second-time habitual offender.

The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office says he killed his brother Nathan Walsh, 35, at the Sheridan Township home where they lived. Authorities found Nathan Walsh's body at the home on Saturday evening. Justin Walsh was soon arrested.

Authorities have not released any information about the motive behind the murder.

Justin Walsh is being held at the Mecosta County Jail without bond.
