Police search for suspect in Battle Creek shooting,1 dead, 2 hurt

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (via WOOD TV 8) — Police are investigating after three people were shot in Battle Creek Sunday morning. 

Authorities heard multiple gunshots just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of South Kendall Street and West Dickman Road. While searching the area, officers found a car in the intersection marked with bullet holes. 

Upon further inspection, officers found Wendell C. Daniels, a 23-year-old Battle Creek man who was shot in the drivers seat of the car. 

Deputies noticed another man, also shot, running away from the vehicle. Two more men, one who was shot, were found near the car on South Kendall Street.
