Monday storm to dump snow on W MI


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A brutal week of weather moves in with heavy snow and bitterly cold wind chills. 

Widespread snow is expected with a fast-moving system that will swing down from Canada Sunday night into Monday. Most will see a good 4 to 6 inches of snow, but some could see 6 to 10 inches or more. 

The National Weather Service has put out a Winter Storm Warning for Lake, Mason, Macosta, Montcalm, Muskeong, Newaygo, Oceana, Kent, Ionia, and Ottawa counties valid from 1 a.m. through 7 p.m. Monday for 6 to 12 inches of new snow. A Winter Weather Advisory has also been issued for Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Van Buren, and Calhoun counties for the same time frame for 4 to 6 inches of new snow.
