Fremont principal cleared of criminal wrongdoing

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Fremont principal who had been accused of a sex crime will not face any criminal charges.

An investigation did not reveal Andrea Wood did anything criminal, Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker confirmed to 24 Hour News 8 Sunday.

Michigan State Police said another employee of Fremont Public Schools had filed the criminal sexual conduct complaint against Wood earlier this month, saying she was using her position to jeopardize the social worker's employment.
