GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Spectrum Health’s list of top baby names for 2018 is out, and four newcomers have made the cut.
Spectrum Health says "Amelia" jumped to fourth place, making the hospital’s top 10 list for the first time in at least five years.
Elizabeth, Hazel, Nora and Adeline dropped off the top 10 list, replaced by Amelia, Evelyn, Harper and Natalie. Olivia and Charlotte remained the most popular picks, at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.

There was a big shakeup among the most popular boy names for 2018, with Levi, Elijah, Lincoln, Benjamin, Mason, Jack, Charles all dropping off the top 10 list. Only Oliver, Liam and James held on to make this year’s cut.
A moniker that didn’t even make the top 10 list in 2017 is the most popular boy’s name of 2018: William.
Three boy names that haven’t been on the top 10 list in several years were back in the mix for 2018: Theodore (No. 4), Lucas (No. 9) and Hudson (No. 10).

The Family Birthplace at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital has welcomed 7,519 newborns so far this year — more than any other hospital in the state, according to Spectrum Health.
