Deadline nears for Michigan Lottery winner to claim $390K

LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — Time is running out for a Michigan Lottery winner to claim their $390,000 prize.

Lottery  officials say the Lucky For Life winner has until 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 2  to come forward for their prize. While the deadline to claim a lottery  prize is typically a year, this winner has an extra day since Jan. 1 is a  state holiday.

The winner matched all five white balls drawn on  Jan. 1, 2018: 15, 18, 25, 31 and 35. The prize: $25,000 a year for life,  or a one-time lump sum of $390,000.

While the Michigan Lottery has no idea who is holding the winning ticket, they say it was  purchased at the Picnic Basket, located at 49471 Ann Arbor Road in  Plymouth.

The Michigan Lottery says the winner should contact its  public relations division at 517.373.1237 to collect their big prize.  The lottery player must pick up their check at Michigan Lottery’s  headquarters in Lansing.
