WAYLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities have released the identity of the man who was killed in a crash on US-131 near Wayland Friday.
Monday, the Allegan County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 24-year-old Roky Ines Vasquez-Vasquez of Grand Rapids.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes at mile marker 65, just north of the exit onto 135th Avenue in Wayland Township.
Capt. Scott Mattice with the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office says investigators suspect a body found on the side of the road around 8:50 a.m. is connected to a car-deer crash call three hours earlier.
