Deputies: 5 injured in crash near Central Elementary

LAKETON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Five people are in the hospital after a crash in front of Central Elementary school in Muskegon County.

The crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. Friday outside the Reeths-Puffer school, located at 1807 W. Giles Road.

The Muskegon County Sheriff says a Jeep making its way to the school parking lot turned left in front of an eastbound Chevrolet Avalanche, causing the crash. The impact caused the Avalanche to hit two other vehicles parked outside of the school.
