Dash cam: Gas station robbers ram cruiser

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for a couple wanted for tricking gas station clerks out of money by posing as managers.

Authorities say Bradley Johnson and Tauna Parfait, both 33, have targeted multiple Kent County gas stations, as well as one in Mecosta County.

On Monday, authorities confronted the couple at a truck stop in southern Kent County.

"On December 10th, in that case an officer was actually doing a routine check at a local truck stop down on 76th Street. He file-checked a vehicle that he did not recognize, the vehicle came back stolen,” Kent County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Joel Roon said. “He tried to make contact with the two people inside the vehicle, he then identified these two people as Tauna Parfait and Bradley Johnson.”

24 Hour News 8 obtained the dash cam footage of the incident, which shows the couple refusing to comply before deputies broke out the windows of the vehicle. At that point, the vehicle hit the cruiser, jumped a curb, and led authorities on a short high-speed chase.
