Authorities seeking tips in Kentwood break-in

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are seeking tips in identifying two suspects who used a hatchet to break into a Kentwood business.

It happened at 4:26 a.m. Nov. 12 at a business in the 5800 block of Division Avenue.

Authorities say two people broke a glass door using a hatchet to get inside, and then jumped over the counter and smashed a glass display of cigarettes before stuffing several boxes into backpacks.

The suspects were wearing black jackets, dark pants and white gloves at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Silent Observer at 616.774.2345. The organization is offering a cash reward for information on the case.
