3 men accused of nighttime poaching face charges

BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Three Van Buren County men are facing charges for allegedly poaching a deer.

A caller alerted deputies to the incident around 11 p.m. Sunday, after seeing a pickup truck shining a light into fields and hearing a gunshot in the 15000 block of 41st Street in Bloomingdale Township, about 25 miles northwest of Kalamazoo.

Deputies searched the area and found the pickup truck parked in a driveway and three men field dressing a deer in a barn. Investigators also found a loaded rifle in the cab of the pickup truck.
