Hurricane Florence Downgraded To Category 2 Storm

The National Hurricane Center downgraded Hurricane Florence to a category two storm Wednesday night, with maximum sustained winds of 110 miles per hour.

Forecasters are still warning that the storm could create life-threatening conditions with a storm surge as high as 13 feet and as many as 40 inches of rain in some areas.

Florence is expected to make landfall in North and South Carolina on Friday.
