Allendale sex ed classes spur LGBTQ debate

ALLENDALE, Mich. (WOOD) — Allendale Public Schools’ sexual education curriculum is sparking controversy.

A group called Conservatives of Allendale Stand Together says the district made unlawful changes to its sex ed programs and CAST is pushing for changes.

Some parents are upset about the request.

"It seems like this group wants just all of that removed from everywhere and (to) just pretend like they (LGBTQ people) don't exist. But that can't happen," Marcy Moorhead said.
