House fire displaces Lisa Posthumus Lyons' family

BOWNE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Alto-area home of Kent County Clerk and Republican lieutenant governor candidate Lisa Posthumus Lyons caught fire Sunday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. at the home in the 7800 block of Alden Nash Avenue SE north of 84th Street in Bowne Township. No one was hurt.

Kent County Central Dispatch confirmed the fire sparked in the garage and then spread. The home is believed to be a total loss.
