No homicides in Grand Rapids this summer

The city's most recent homicide was April 9, when 28-year-old Kaharee McIntosh-Williams was shot multiple times on Delaware Street SE near Eastern Avenue. No charges have been issued in connection to his death.

Five people were murdered in January of this year. Charges have been issued in three of those deaths, and one of the suspects is also accused of a 2017 murder. A man wanted for questioning in the remaining two homicides, the shooting deaths of a grandmother and her 2-year-old grandson, was taken into police custody but then died. Family members say they believe he was the killer.

Anyone with information about McIntosh-Williams' homicide or any other crimes is asked to call GRPD at 616.456.3400 or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
