Passing officer spots Kzoo man breaking into business

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) —  A Kalamazoo man is facing charges after investigators say he broke into a business and tried to make off with some of the contents inside.

It happened around 4 a.m. Friday at a business in the 600 block of E. Crosstown Parkway in Kalamazoo.  A Kalamazoo public safety sergeant was traveling in the area when he spotted the man leaving the business and approached him.

The sergeant determined the man got into the business through a window, then repeatedly carried stolen property out of the business, stashing it nearby to pick up later.
