Morning storm knocks out power to thousands Tuesday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A morning storm system knocked out power to thousands across West Michigan Tuesday.

More than 20,000 Consumers Energy customers are without power, the utility company’s interactive outage map shows. Outages by county as of 6 a.m. Tuesday:

  • Kent County: 3,223
  • Newaygo County: 445
  • Mecosta County: 159
  • Muskegon County: 701
  • Ottawa County: 280
